I am just loving......

I do not know what has actually come over me but at the moment I am just loving all things soft and romantic for weddings.  2012/2013 major colour trend is coral, peach and tangerine.  Peach roses are just so beautiful and combined with cream or white roses stunning.  However, my big winner at the moment are soft, blousy fabric flowers included in bouquets and flower arrangements. Giant organza flowers randomly placed on the back of tiffany/chivari chairs is incredibly beautiful.

Other favourites are soft bows, not ribbon organza bows, but bows that have been made out of soft organza fabric!  Beautiful crystal vases and cut glass wineglasses.  Touches of gold, especially on the wedding cake.  Soft, romantic, informal flower arrangements spilling out of the vase and trailing on to the table.  Lacey stationery such as envelopes made out of doilies as well as introducing the effect on to individualised menus and seating plans.

Soft frills, flounces and birdcage veils are also high on my rating list.  Love, love, love.

Beautiful crystal or glass candelabra on tables.  They are timeless.  There are so few opportunities in life to use candelabra and weddings are just the perfect chance.  They give height and there is nothing quite like long taper candles to create atmosphere.  Of course, one can never have too many candles and at each and every wedding I do I always include a glass t-lite votive at each place setting.  Inexpensive and effective.

If you are going to give your guests gifts (bonbonnieres)  then I always suggest something edible.  Think about custom made chocolates, divine homemade iced biscuits or stunning cake pops.  Although more and more brides are excluding individual gifts due to budget constraints very often the inclusion of these gifts give stylists the chance to include splashes of colour on to the table and therefore form part of the decor.

I am also enjoying using LED lights to up light glass vases.  Lighting is such a vital element in creating atmosphere and is very often overlooked.  Simple floral arrangements uplighted are WOW.

The most wonderful thing of all are the gorgeous brides who are entrusting their weddings to Bright and Beautiful, Flowers & Table Decor.  The best advice I can give you is allow your wedding to be an expression of who you are.  Don't follow trends just for the sake of it.  Make sure your wedding is your wedding and not a clone of someone elses weddings.  Be confident to use ideas you love.  Happy planning.
