Alison & Darren : Allee Bleue

A radiant bride, a dashing groom and a magnificent setting at www.alleebleue.co.za in Franschoek are the right ingredients for a perfect wedding day. The fact that Darren & Alison live in Johannesburg and most of our discussions regarding flowers & decor were via e-mail didn’t hinder arrangements for their special day. Alison knew exactly what she had in mind and also wanted to contribute to the decor with personalised touches. They made a whirlwind trip to Cape Town to touch base with various service providers and we were able to meet so they could see a mock-up of flowers. I was also able to visit Allee Bleue with them to view the venue. From the moment I met Brent Abrahams, co-ordinator at Allee Bleue I knew everything was in good hands.

Alison looked absolutely stunning wearing a beautiful Maggie Sottero www.amante.co.za dress and carrying a bouquet of white roses and white tulips (Jose, Fabulous Flowers). The bridesmaids were a picture in Royal Blue dresses and carrying bouquets of gypsophila tied with white satin ribbon. Simone Matthee ([email protected]) did the make up and hair was styled by Illke from Le Hair Lounge, www.lehairlounge.com Stellenbosch.

I think Alison took everyone’s breath away as she walked down the aisle towards her groom. They were married in the beautiful garden at Allee Bleue. A simple draped archway adorned with a large gypsophila kissing ball and flanked by 2 large all white flower arrangements with the Franschoek mountains in the backgrounds completed the picture.

These fabulous photographs were taken by Alison's cousin, Craig, Unprecedented Pictures www.unprecedentedpictures.co.za They are all so awesome I just have to add as many as possible to this blog!

Decor was simple, stylish and elegant. Glass 9-arm candelabra, single type flower arrangements in glass and white ceramic vases - lisianthus, tulips, roses, gypsophila and St. Josephs lilies placed on heavily embossed white & cream tablecloths, along with gorgeous beaded pearl serviette rings looked stunning. We used lots of small square glass t-lite votives to add loads of candle light. White Chinese lanterns with LED’s lights were hung from the ceiling and fairy lights strung into the small potted trees.

I loved being part of this wonderful wedding. Darren & Alison you are both special people and you have all my very best wishes for a lifetime of love, health and happiness.
